Reporting a Claim

We never like to see claims and accidents, but unfortunately they do happen. When that’s the case we are there for you to help you through the process and to get a speedy resolution. We have been through many claims, big and small and we work with top insurance companies to make sure you get back on your feet as fast as possible. We are with you every step of the way

By reporting a claim yourself you are actually speeding up the claims process. Please note that a claim might affect your future insurance premium or eligibility.

CLAIMS PROCESS

Here are 3 easy steps that will help you understand the claims process

Step 1

Call the insurance company or call us

When you call the insurance company directly to report a claim, please be prepared to do the following:

Provide your policy number
Describe the situation in detail – accident or damage. (times, circumstances etc.)
Note the name of the Claims Associate you have talked to and a Claim Number if you are given one.
Once the claim is reported a Claims Adjuster is assigned to your case and will contact you directly.

Step 2

Communicate with the Claims Adjuster

The Claims Adjuster will work with you to get you back on your feet quickly.

The insurance company will inform us when the claim has been reported and who the Claims Adjuster is. We will monitor the progress of the claim.

If at any point you feel that we should get involved to help with the process or you need to discuss anything with us, please contact us. As your insurance broker we represent you and have your best interest at heart.

Step 3

Resolution

The Claims Adjuster will work with you to provide information and compensation according to the policy terms and limits. Claims situations vary from case to case.

If a cheque is sent to us we will contact you to make arrangements for pick-up or delivery.
